As promised here is my template for the handbag as shown in the post below. This project was also shared over at The Pink Elephant as my DT entry for challenge #16.
Firstly you will need to cut your cardstock for the body of the bag. I recommend that you use a good weight for this to enable it to stand properly. My bag was made with K&Co re-make, but of course there are lots of others that would be suitable.
Cut one piece 11" x
5.75" Score at 5.5" and then 1" either side of the first score to allow it to fold and stand.
you will need to trim a small portion away at the sides............how much you trim off is personal choice. Fold the body of the bag and cut away a 'V' shape at each side at the bottom. (do let me know if you need more pictures!)
I have created the flap in a pdf document which you can download
http:// www.casamiacrafts.co.uk/handbagflap.pdf you will need to leave the size at 133%.
My handle is made with two strands of craft wire twisted around a pen for the curls, but sturdy cardstock would work or maybe wire edged ribbon!
I hope you will enjoy making your bag, please come back and share your creations with me and of course if you need more help just let me know..........Enjoy! :)
